1.ONE STOP CENTRE(OSC) SAKHI :

One Stop Centre(OSC) is a scheme to help women and girls in distress. It is funded under the Nibhaya fund of the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD)since 2015.

The centre is established in all district of India. The scheme provide integrated support to women and girls facing violence at home and in society.Women and girls victims are assisted through 24/7 helpline numbers and provided shelter including free fooding ,clothing, medical and personal needs during the stay. As per the needs of the victims, medical, Psycho-social counselling , legal and police assistant has been provided to the victim by the One stop centre.

AWCA manages the OSC Churachandpur district since 1st March,2020 and the OSC Pherzawl District since 1st December,2021.

2.CHARITY SCHOOL(SOLACE ACADEMY):

With an aim to provide quality education to children affected by the construction of Khuga Multipurpose dam, AWCA  runs a charity school called Solace Academy at the campus of its field office, Jacintha Rehoboth,S Munhoi Village of Singngat TD Block in Churachandpur district, Manipur.

It was established in 2014.The school has no funding sources so it is manage with funds donated by AWCA well wishers ,contribution from parents and public fund raise.

3. CHILDLINE : Childline is a scheme funded by the Ministry of women and Child Development (MWCD)manage and operate by the Childline India Foundation (CIF) with telephone helpline number 1098 with its headquarters at Mumbai. It aims to provide assistance to children in distress from age 0-18 years .

AWCA has been identify as one partner for Childline Sub-Centre for Churachandpur district of Manipur since 2019.

4. UJJAWALA (A scheme on Human Trafficking ) : Ujjawala is an integrated scheme to help women and girls traffic for commercial exploitation, cheap/ force labour, sexual exploitation, Organ removal etc or for other profit by exploitation of human beings. The scheme is funded by the Ministry of Women and Child Development(MWCD).

AWCA has been implementing the scheme since  November, 2019.

The most common form of Human Trafficking related case in the district is exploitation of Women and girls  for  commercial sex work  and labour trafficked.

The victims experienced this crime from mainland India like Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai ,Delhi and in other countries like Singapore, Malaysia and China.

The Ujjawala Home for protection and rehabilitation of victims is situated at AWCA field office, Jacintha Rehoboth, S.Munhoi Village, Singngat TD Block, Churachandpur, Manipur.

Vocational Training 

AWCA set up a Vocational training centre at its field office in Jacintha’s Rehoboth, S. Munhoi Village, Singngat Tribal Development Block, where  training on different skills are organized time to time.Altogether 60 (sixty)women and girls were trained in tailoring,weaving and embroidery , 20 (twenty) men  trained in carpentry skills and 60 (sixty) girls trained in basic  computer knowledge.

AWCA set up an outlet called “ZOMI PUAN SHOP” at the main Market of the district.This outlet help the already trained women and girls in selling out their products. Besides, poor women weavers of various parts of the district are also helped to outlet their weaving products in this outlet.

Livelihood Project

In collaboration with NERCoRMP (North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project) funded by North Eastern Council (NEC). Under this project, AWCA implemented several activities of livelihood program in farm and non-farm activities.

Presently, it works in Sangaikot and Tuibuong Block of Churachandpur District.
