AWCA runs Childline in Churachandpur district since 2018

AWCA has been selected as one of the Sub-centre to run Childline India Foundation in Churachandpur district since August 2018. With its Head office in Mumbai, Childline India Foundation is funded under Integrated child Protection scheme by the Ministry of Women and child Development, Govt. of India. Its helpline number 1098 is available 24/7 for Children in need of assistance.

Since its inception, AWCA Childline Sub-centre has been organizing awareness program on children related issue and the availability of helpline number 1098 to school, villages, community etc. Besides, all staff are always engage 24/7 to intervene and assist child related case such as run away, missing child, rape, sexual & physical abuse, kidnapping and Child trafficking.

The following are the number case intervene and assisted by Childline Sub-centre during the year 2018-1(6 months) : Rape Case- 3, Missing child-2, Destitute Children- 3,Total 8 (eight) cases. The support provided are a counselling, medicinal, nutrition and shelter in emergency cases.

With the consistent awareness program, Childline team deal with different type of case from its inception till date.
