Livelihood Project under NERCoRMP

AWCA has been selected as one Partner NGO for implementing North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCoRMP) project which has been funded by North Eastern Council (NEC). Under this program,  AWCA covers 42(forty-two) project villages in Sangaikot Block and 4 villages in Tuibuong Block and has formed 97 (ninety-seven) Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) and 47 (forty seven) Natural Resource Management Groups(NaRMG) in these villages. Under this projects the SHGs and NaRMG have been provided funds for improvement of livelihood in farm and non-farm based activities.

Inauguration of NEC Piggery Project (Fattening Unit):

Under NERCoRMP third phase project-Churachandpur, partner NGO Action for Women and Child Advancement (AWCA) implemented Piggery project (Fattening Unit) funded by North Eastern Council (NEC), Ministry of Doner, Government of India at Kholmun was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner SHyam Lai Poonia on 30th Jan 2018 with representative from NERCoRMP, local representatives and villagers. After the inauguration, a program was held at Kholmun youth club office, Kholmun village with the Deputy Commissioner Shri Shyam Lal Poonia as Chief Guest, Shri James Doujapao MCS, SDO-Tuibuang as Functional President, Shri D.Khuala Vaiphei, Project Manager NERCoRMP-Churachandpur as Chief Host.
